Coronavirus Update: 23rd March 2020
23rd March 2020
We’re sad to say that the decision has been taken to close all of our Leisure Resorts parks from 5pm today (23rd March 2020) and until further notice.
We would like all our owners and holiday guests to be assured that the decision has not been taken lightly. These are unprecedented times; as a business, we are having to make decisions and take actions which were unimaginable only a matter of weeks ago. Nevertheless, an ever-escalating situation has led to the Government taking this action across the holiday park industry, a decision that we must all respect for the greater good.
FOR OUR VALUED OWNERS:
You should have received an email and letter with further details concerning this action.
For our owners currently on parks, we appreciate that this is short notice, however, we must insist that you comply with the above notice before 5pm, making necessary arrangements as a matter of urgency.
You park team will be on hand to assist with the closing down of your holiday home as required.
We will be maintaining the parks and keeping them safe and secure during this time.
For any owners with urgent questions, please contact your park team using the email addresses below:
FOR HOLIDAY ARRIVALS UP TO & INCLUDING 22ND MAY 2020:
You should have received or will shortly receive a communication from our booking partner Hoseasons confirming our park closures. Whilst we appreciate that this will be disappointing, you have the peace of mind that Hoseasons will be contacting you to arrange an alternative holiday date.
Please note: due to high demand, Hoseasons are prioritising those that are due to arrive within the next 7 days. If you are not due to travel in the next 7 days, they ask for your patience and understanding.
For more details and information, we ask that you visit www.hoseasons.co.uk/covid-19
On behalf of everyone from the Leisure Resorts team, may we thank you again for your support, understanding and commitment through this uncertain period.
SUPPORTING OUR NHS
Following the Government’s instruction, we unfortunately had to close our lovely holiday parks on Monday 23rd March for the foreseeable future. Once again, we truly apologise for the disappointment and inconvenience this has caused to all our holiday home owners and guests.
This has left us with the majority of our lodge accommodation across our Ullswater & Lakesway holiday parks empty.
Given the wider situation that Cumbria is currently facing, we’d like to offer our self-catering lodges for free (including utilities and Wi-Fi connectivity) to front line emergency service workers in the North and South Lakeland areas who are making long daily commutes or not wanting to return home to protect others in their household.
Our objective is not to profit or seek publicity from this, moreover, to support our excellent emergency services in any way we can during these unprecedented times.
Please enquire by emailing – we’d love to help!
