Supporting Wildlife on Our Parks

Here at Leisure Resorts, we believe it’s vitally important to support and contribute to wildlife conservation.

We’ve introduced wildflowers across our parks in order to provide pollinators and insects with food from leaves, pollen, nectar, shelter and places to breed.

Wildflower meadows are a great source of nectar-rich food for many bee species, as well as a place to shelter and nest.

We have incorporated wildlife areas at all of the parks to help support the bees and we were fortunate enough to win David Bellamy awards at Aysgarth Lodge Holidays and Rivers Edge Holiday Home and Lodge Park.

The David Bellamy Conservation Awards are a longstanding partnership between the Conservation Foundation (co-founded by Professor David Bellamy) and the British Holiday & Home Parks Association. The awards were first awarded in 1997 and the judging involves a regular programme of assessments by the awards scheme’s local wildlife experts and submissions from members of the public.
