November 2023:
17th Nov: Whitby Christmas lights turn on at 7.45 pm.
17th – 19th Nov: Whitby Christmas market. In the front marina car park, stalls from 10 am with a firework display at 7.45 pm on the 18th.
18th Nov – 23rd Dec: York Christmas markets.
24th Nov: Ormesby Hall Panto-themed Christmas. Rooms adorned with sparkling lights and decorations from some of the most loved pantomimes. Full details at www.nationaltrust.org.uk/ormesby-hall.
24th – 26th Nov: Thirsk Christmas Fayre. Local traders, family fun, and entertainment with the lights switch on on the evening of the 24th.
25th and 26th Nov: Flatts Lane Country Park pop-up Christmas Fayre. Pop-up stalls from 10-3 pm.
26th Nov: Redcar light switch on and illumination parade from 3-5.45 pm. Over 200 participants with lanterns, costumes, and visual spectacles that will light up the route from the Civic Centre to Redcar Town.
29th Nov: Thirsk Christmas lights switch on.
December 2023:
1st – 31st Dec: Northallerton Snowman and Elf Trail. Snowmen will be popping up all over the town, with twelve snowmen having been given a name, creating a challenge to find them all.
5th Dec 4-8 pm: Guisborough Christmas parade. Santa’s parade with reindeers, children’s entertainers, children’s rides, musical performances, late-night opening for shops, and Santa’s grotto.
7th Dec: Marske Christmas festival. Located in Marske Square and the leisure centre, including a funfair, Santa parade, and Christmas crafts.
16th Dec 10-4 pm: Saltburn Ice Sculpture Trail. Nine amazing ice sculptures will be located around the town, street entertainment, music, and Christmas stalls.
26th Dec: Redcar Boxing Day Dip. The 54th annual dip sees hundreds of brave souls heading into the North Sea for a dip each to raise money for their chosen charities.
