22nd October 2026:
Leisure Resorts has today unveiled ambitious plans for a multi-million-pound luxury spa facility at its flagship, award-winning holiday resort, Ullswater Heights in the North Lakes. Construction is scheduled to break ground in November, with doors officially opening to guests, lodge owners, and local Lakeland residents in Summer 2027.
Accompanied by a set of exclusive CGI visualisations and a sneak-peek fly-through video, the reveal offers a first look at the architectural design and outdoor wellness spaces coming to the Lake District.
The centrepiece of the outdoor wellness deck will be among the largest outdoor hydrotherapy pools in the United Kingdom. Spanning 12 metres (40ft) in length and 3.5 metres (11.5ft) in width, the heated pool comes complete with an integrated swim-up bar sheltered under a geometric glass dome, surrounded by sunken fire-pit lounges and private daybed cabanas.

Designed to offer its guests and patrons pure relaxation, the complex features a world-class suite of thermal and treatment spaces, including:
- Record-Scale Outdoor Hydrotherapy Pool: A 12000mm x 3500mm (12m x 3.5m) heated alfresco pool—one of the largest in the UK—featuring an integrated swim-up bar, framed by sleek loungers and cabanas.
- Thermal Suite: Featuring an Aroma Steam Wet Room, a soothing Herbal Lounge, a rejuvenating Himalayan Salt Sauna, an authentic Hammam, and a traditional mud Rasul experience.
- Bespoke Treatment Rooms: Five state-of-the-art treatment suites, comprising four individual treatment rooms and one dedicated double treatment room tailored specifically for couples.
- Geodesic Domes: All-weather, transparent geodesic domes outfitted with plush seating, allowing guests to soak in panoramic mountain views in year-round comfort.
- Sunken Fire Pits & Thermal Deck: Outdoor stone conversation pits with flickering flames, ideal for relaxing post-treatment.
- Gym Facility: Working with established wellness brands such as Technogym to deliver a top-class fitness space designed for use by the Ullswater Heights lodge owner community, holiday and spa guests, and the wider local community.
- Changing Amenities: Bright, contemporary changing spaces featuring natural wood accents and modern guest amenities.

“We have been planning to add a top-class luxury spa to Ullswater Heights for a long time, so bringing this vision to life as Leisure Resorts celebrates its 10th anniversary next year feels incredibly fitting,” said Grant Gidman, Director at Leisure Resorts.
