Cycling for the Candlelighters Trust
Just two months ago marked the beginning of an extraordinary adventure as our team members, Gary, Miles, and Andy embarked on a challenging 598-mile cycling journey from Portugal to the Spanish border. Their goal? To raise £10,000 for the Candlelighters Trust. Every pound donated makes a real difference in the lives of courageous families facing unimaginable challenges.
Leigh to Newcastle Cycling Challenge
Two years ago, Gary Molloy and Miles Dewhurst teamed up with AB Sundecks Ltd for an impressive 142-mile cycling challenge from Leigh to Newcastle in just one day!
Christmas Raffle Success
Three years ago, our involvement in the Candlelighters Trust Christmas Raffle and Highland Cycling Challenge raised an astonishing £28,774.34 for Candlelighters Trust & Cancer Research UK. The generosity of our supporters made a world of difference to those facing difficult times.
Highland Cycling Challenge
Four years ago, Gary, Miles, Andy, and Derek undertook a 5-Day Highland Cycling Challenge, covering over 500 miles around the North Coast of Scotland, raising an amazing £10,322 for Candlelighters Trust & Cancer Research UK.
Supporting NHS & Emergency Services
In response to the fight against coronavirus, we offered free accommodation to NHS and Emergency Services staff at our Cumbrian holiday parks, playing a small part in supporting those on the front lines.
Conservation Efforts in Yorkshire Dales and Lake District
Four years ago, we raised £970 for Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust, planting 194 trees with the generous contribution of our MD, Gary Molloy. Our commitment to conservation in the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District is a source of pride.
World’s Biggest Coffee Morning
Our four holiday parks participated in The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning for Macmillan Cancer Support, raising a wonderful total of £825.95.
Grand Finale – Cycling from Italy to Monaco
In a grand finale, Gary Molloy and Miles Dewhurst cycled 1,000 miles over 10 days, travelling from Italy to Monaco, raising funds for Candlelighters Trust. Their efforts, combined with previous endeavours, approached an impressive £35,000.
Aysgarth Lodges Summer Bash
Our stunning park, Aysgarth Lodges, held a successful summer bash, raising an impressive £1263.44 for the Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust. This contribution is enough to plant 126 trees in the Grassington area.
As we reflect on the past five years, we are immensely grateful for the support and generosity that has allowed us to contribute to various causes. Together, we’ve made a difference in the lives of those facing adversity, and we look forward to continuing our journey of giving back in the years to come.
