If you chose to leave the serenity of our park, the very best Yorkshire has to offer is on your doorstep; the village of Aysgarth and the famed falls are just one mile away or travel a little further afield and you’ll discover Bolton Castle, Richmond Castle, White Scar Caves and Hardraw Force all set in the spectacular scenery of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
Aptly named after the brook that trickles through the park from Aysgarth Falls to Bishopdale Beck, Falls End is our very own bar & restaurant serving up a menu of local mouth-watering home-made classics, created from ingredients sourced locally from the phenomenal Yorkshire Dales produce available right on our doorstep.

Fun for all ages, Molly’s Farm is Aysgarth’s very own petting farm where you’ll be able to get upfront and personal with the likes of our champion bloodline Alpacas, mischievous Toggenburg Goats, rare White Chipmunks, not forgetting our resident Kune Kune pigs Pepper & George. A definite must do whilst staying on park.

1 mile away from Aysgarth
Just a 10 minute walk away lies the three stepped waterfalls at Aysgarth, one of the Yorkshire Dales’ most famed visitor attractions and a dramatic setting for a scene from the Hollywood movie Robin Hood Prince of Thieves. Running alongside the falls is Freeholders' Wood Local Nature Reserve, which boasts several easy paths winding through it - a great walk for all ages.

Set in the market town of Hawes, just a 15 minute drive away, is The Wensleydale Creamery - home of the world renowned Wensleydale Cheese.Take a visit and enjoy the Wendsleydale Cheese Experience, where you’ll learn about the history and be able to watch the famed cheese being made. Then savour the finished product in their cheese shop, where you’ll be able to sample over 20 varieties.

One of the country’s best preserved medieval castles. Completed in 1399, its scars bear testament to over 600 years of fascinating history including involvement in the Pilgrimage of Grace, Mary Queen of Scot’s imprisonment and a Civil War siege. With one third of the rooms fully intact, visitors will get a taste of what life was really like during the Castle’s heyday through provoking sights, sounds & smells.

The Wensleydale Railway allows visitors the opportunity to sit back, relax and soak in the delights of our local surrounds. Departing at select time’s through-out the year from Redmire Station, just 5 miles from Aysgarth and with free parking to boot, a journey on the Wensleydale Railway is a wonderful experience for all the family.You might even be lucky and get to be pulled by one of their steam trains.
The Forbidden Corner

A firm family favourite, ‘The Strangest Place in the World’ was voted best European folly of the 20th century, as well as the best children's attraction in Yorkshire. Offering its visitors a fun filled day out with a genuine difference, The Forbidden Corner is a must see filled with unique labyrinths, tunnels, chambers and galleries that present a barrage of tricky challenges, including the occasional spray of water.

No trip to the Yorkshire Dales would be complete without a visit to Middleham Castle. Once the childhood home of Richard III, you can relive the Castle’s illustrious history and unlock the deeds of its great owners. There you'll be able to witness incredible views of Wensleydale from their viewing platform, and experience many indoor exhibitions, and a 15th Century replica of the Middleham Jewel.
10 miles from Aysgarth
This magical little market town is England's highest, set 850 feet above sea water. Hawes was first recorded as a market place in 1307 and the lively Tuesday market still entices shoppers in. Set amidst breath-taking scenery and home to many shops, quaint cafes and traditional pubs, it's no surprise Hawes is one of the most popular tourist attractions of the Yorkshire Dales.
