A beautiful Elizabethan mansion set in landscaped grounds, most renowned for its spectacular topiary gardens. A great day out for the whole family and admission includes access to the café, shop and plant centre. Season tickets also available.
Sizergh Castle and Garden
3 miles from Lakesway
A medieval castle and estate managed by the National Trust, open six days a week to the public. Enjoy strolling through the gardens, exploring the exhibitions and newly opened library room, or watching the rare Hawfinch on the wildlife trail.
Lakeland Maze Farm Park

If you’re looking for a fun day out for the kids, visit Lakeland Maze Farm Park located at Raines Hall Farm, Sedgwick. Explore the maze, pet the animals, or enjoy outdoor activities such as go-karting, tractor rides and trampolining.
Curious About Kendal

Go sailing at the Windermere Quays Marina, open 7 days a week. Hire an eco-friendly, electrically powered boat and explore the water, being able to get close to wildlife due to the very quiet engine. Boats are hired per hour.
