Paul and Janice’s journey into lodge ownership began with a touring caravan. While they loved getting away, travelling with their growing family was becoming more difficult.

“We’d got to the point where we’d had enough of touring. We have three grandchildren and it just wasn’t big enough for all of us.”

Looking for more space and a simpler way to enjoy their time away, they bought their first lodge and quickly realised it was exactly the lifestyle they’d been searching for.

“We’ve just got used to the fact that lodge life for us is wonderful. It’s just so relaxing.”

Although they had purchased a lodge before, Paul and Janice were impressed by how relaxed and straightforward the buying process at Angrove felt.

“It was really calm. There was never any pressure.”

Every part of the purchase was explained clearly, giving them complete confidence in their decision.

“Everything was explained fully. Katie the General Manager sat down with us and went through it page by page, paragraph by paragraph, making sure we understood exactly what we were signing and how everything worked.”

As they were arranging finance while waiting for the sale of a property overseas, they particularly appreciated the support and guidance they received throughout the process.

Investing in the future

One thing that gave Paul and Janice real peace of mind was Leisure Resorts’ long licence agreements.

Having seen friends face difficult decisions on other holiday parks when their licence expired, they knew how important this was.

“They had no choice but to remove their caravan or replace it. Here, we know we’ll never be in that situation.”

They also appreciate the continued investment across the park.

“Every time we visit, there’s something new. Whether it’s new planting trees or improvements around the park, you can see they’re always investing and making it even better.”

It’s the people who make the difference

For Paul and Janice, the biggest difference has been the team.

Whether it’s Harry or Katie, they know there’s always someone willing to help, no matter how small the request. That friendly, approachable service has made them feel completely at home.

“If we’ve ever needed anything, they’ve always been there. Even something as simple as asking someone to pop some bread in the freezer because we’d forgotten it. Nothing was ever too much trouble.”

Would they recommend lodge ownership?

Looking back, Paul and Janice have only one regret.

“The only regret is that we didn’t do it sooner.”

For them, lodge ownership has provided more space for family, a peaceful place to escape to and the freedom to relax whenever they choose. Combined with the beautiful surroundings and supportive team at Angrove, it’s a decision they wouldn’t hesitate to make again.
