Before visiting Ullswater Heights, we looked at other Leisure Resorts parks online and were impressed by the look of the sites, the clarity of information and how easy the websites were to navigate. On visiting, we were attracted by the open aspect of the park, the extra space between plots compared with other sites, and the way all the lodges had the same cladding and composite decking. These details gave the site the look and feel of a holiday village rather than a caravan park. We were also impressed by the use of piped gas rather than bottled.

Throughout the six years we have owned at Ullswater Heights, our first impressions have remained the same. We are consistently impressed with the attention to detail across the park, from the flower beds to newly planted trees. If we have been away for a few weeks, we enjoy our “site inspection,” a gentle stroll to see what has changed. Communication from the management has also been excellent, with regular updates and helpful information.

The Leisure Resorts way has always resonated with us. The attention to detail keeps the park looking splendid and gives it a high-end feel. Another important feature is the availability of the General Manager to discuss any issues. In six years of ownership, we have only had one concern. We were listened to, asked for suggestions, and within weeks action was taken, putting our minds at rest. We also appreciate that rentals are carefully overseen, helping the park retain its calm and welcoming atmosphere.

The included benefits have made a real difference. Owner discounts at the Lakehouse and shop add to the feeling of being valued. The Wi-Fi is superb, fast and reliable, allowing us to stay connected with family through Wi-Fi calling. Owner events provide a chance to meet others and build a community, and we’ve also enjoyed access to the North Lakes Spa. The Ullswater team, especially Charlotte and Steven, have gone above and beyond, even chasing up outstanding warranty issues for us.

The family-owned nature of Leisure Resorts has also influenced our experience. We feel it drives the “Ullswater Heights family” atmosphere that makes the park so special. Both times we have purchased – our first lodge and then our upgrade – the sales team gave invaluable advice. Mark suggested larger decking with our first lodge, which has given us private outdoor space and a safe area for our grandchildren to play. With our upgrade, Dave worked closely with the sales and siting teams to ensure the lodge’s position fitted perfectly with the driveway, path and entrance. The contracts were explained clearly, and the paperwork was straightforward.

The handovers were brilliant – smooth, informative and enjoyable. Safety features were explained carefully, but more importantly, we felt truly welcomed into the Ullswater Heights family. Dave admitted he was a little nervous at the very first handover, wondering if we had done the right thing. But over the years, our lodge has proved to be one of the best investments we have made, giving us a wonderful, relaxing lifestyle.
